About the Author

Welcome to Those Starry Nights.  I'm glad you're here. 

I am a follower of Jesus, the one who changed my life on a starry night. 

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, pastor. I love music, mission, coffee, Diet Coke and cooking. Sometimes I think I love running. 

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jeff. Every day he demonstrates the love, mercy and grace of our awesome God. Together, we strive to live in full surrender to God's will. It's taken us to places and introduced us to people we would have never imagined! Following Jesus is the best adventure. 

We are the parents of 4 kids that keep us busy, laughing, crying and pointing to Jesus. Our hope and prayer for them is that they all come to love and serve Jesus in their own, unique way. 

I was called (shoved?) into ministry in 2008 and had the honor of serving a great church in Fargo, ND as Director of Senior High Ministry. I didn't get it right all the time, but the goal was to point to Jesus. The youth and families of that church have left a life-long impact on our family. 

In 2012, the Lord opened the door for me to begin Seminary. I was blessed to attend Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN. With the help of great mentors and a loving co-hort group, my beliefs were challenged, my theology shifted and my faith was deeply rooted in God's promises. 

In 2016, I graduated seminary and was called to a new place. As one mentor said "when God opens the next door, you just gotta step through it." And so, we did. Now, from North Dakota to Nebraska, we are seeking God, serving him and trusting his purpose at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Obedience is our job, outcome is God's - and so we serve, expectant of what He will do!
